Buying tickets
How do I buy tickets?
Open an event, choose your tickets and how many, then enter your name, email and phone number. You pay on Paystack with a card, bank transfer or USSD and come straight back to your tickets. Free events skip the payment step.
How long are my tickets held?
Once you start checkout we hold your tickets for 10 minutes so nobody else can take them. A timer at the top of the checkout page counts down. If it runs out, nothing is charged and you can choose again.
What is the booking fee?
Paid tickets carry a booking fee: 8% per paid ticket. You see the exact total before you pay. Some organizers include the fee in their ticket price instead. Free tickets never have a fee.
Can I use a promo code?
Yes. Choose your tickets on the event page, select "Have a promo code?", type the code and apply it. The new total shows straight away.
After you pay
Where are my tickets?
Right after payment they appear on screen with a QR code for each ticket, and we email them to the address you gave. You can also download a PDF, or open "Find my tickets" any time with your email.
The email has not arrived
Give it a minute, then check your spam and promotions folders. If it is not there, use "Find my tickets" and we will send it again. Typed your email wrong? Contact the organizer with your order number and they can help.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No. Show the QR code on your phone at the door. If your battery worries you, download the PDF or print it.
Can I give my ticket to someone else?
Yes. A ticket is its QR code, not a name, so you can forward the email or PDF to a friend. Only the first scan is accepted at the door, so never post your ticket publicly.
I paid but have no tickets
Bank confirmations can take a few minutes. Wait five minutes, then check your email and "Find my tickets". If your payment went through but the tickets sold out while you were paying, we refund you automatically.
Refunds and changes
Can I get a refund?
Every organizer sets their own refund policy. You can read it on the event page and at checkout. To ask for a refund, contact the organizer with your order number. If an event is cancelled, the organizer can refund every ticket, and the money goes back to the payment method you used. Banks can take a few working days to show it.
The date or venue changed
When an organizer changes the time or place of an event, they can choose to email everyone who bought a ticket. Your tickets stay valid for the new details unless the organizer says otherwise.
At the event
How does check-in work?
The organizer scans the QR code on your ticket at the door. Each ticket can be used once, or the number of times it admits people, for example a table of four.
Is it safe to pay here?
Payments are handled by Paystack. Your card details go straight to Paystack and never touch our servers.
Still need a hand?
Have your order number ready (it starts with FT-). It is on your confirmation page and in your ticket email.
